Reasons Why I Felt So Shit At College
- I wasn’t eating enough or eating well.
- I was tired from lack of sleep.
- I didn’t spend enough time in nature, in silence.
- I was exhausted from masking and stress and anxiety.
- I was emotionally strained by dissociation and stress and anxiety.
- Basically, a lot of stress and anxiety.
- I pushed myself to stay at college longer when it would have been better for my mental and physical health to go home and eat and sleep and relax and unmask.
- I pushed myself to mask my exhaustion but that only exhausted me more: vicious cycle.
- What burnt me out was all the masking, especially when I masked how exhausted I was. How can I prevent this?
- Basically, a lot of this was autistic burnout, which came from social burnout and which led to academic burnout.
